Iowayzgoose, Birthday Cake and Enchiladas |

From "The Printer," September-October 2000 Issue, Volume 14--number 164 |

I'm still recovering from "trailer lag" from my trip to Iowa, September 9, for the "Iowayzgoose," at Jim Daggs' print shop, Ackley, Iowa. I don't know how he does it, but he has a print shop that is so clean I don't think type lice would even consider moving in there. |

An impressive operation, with a restored, gleaming Heidelberg press, a number of working Intertypes, a job press, a beautifully restored 3-ton paper cutter...a Rosback perforator, more stuff, all of it beautifully maintained. Not a drop of oil or dust anywhere! Yet, there seems good evidence that it is a working shop. |
